I was thinking about writing about why I think people eat at chains. This is directly relevant to Darden Restaurants because they own 7. Then delving into what kind of people each chain of Darden Restaurants attracts. Also how Darden food has changed different marketing schemes over the year to appeal to different audiences with some chains (olive garden and red lobster) but left others the same(longhorn steak house and bahama breeze). What do you think?

These are each very interesting questions to consider. The first-- an investigation of cooking shows over time-- might lead you to some interesting observations about cultural change, and the second-- the differences among food shows of other countries-- might lead you to an interesting conclusion about larger cultural differences between those countries. In choosing between them, you might want to ask yourself if you're more interested in investigating food culture from a national perspective, or from more of a historical one. That might help you to decide. In either case, I'd recommend selecting a small set of "representative" food shows to focus on, so that you aren't overwhelmed by the scope of the project.
